There are two things we do really well here at PD Designs; we design, build and fit new bedrooms and we design, build and fit new kitchens. (We can also make a pretty cracking brew, but here’s not the place to get into that!) In this week’s blog, we’d like to tell you a little bit more about the second of those two things: kitchens. 

Where It All Began

It might sound a bit over the top to you, but kitchens really are our one true love, and it’s where our story first began. When we set up PD Designs, all those long 24 years ago, we did it with one aim in mind; we wanted to make the best kitchens we possibly could.

Having experienced the world of kitchens from both inside and out, we knew there was a better way to do things; a better way to build quality kitchens that stand the test of time, a better way to give customers the kind of workable kitchen they actually need, a better way to source, manufacture and fit those better kitchens. We’d never done it ourselves before, but we knew how not to do it, so we set out with a list of things we weren’t going to do – such as build cheap flimsy kitchens or mess people about – and the good stuff naturally followed on from there. It’s like the old saying goes, don’t do it shit and it’ll turn out alright (and if that isn’t an actual saying then it should be!).

And despite adding bespoke fitted bedrooms to our repertoire a few years later, quality handmade fitted kitchens has always been, and will always be, the heart of everything we do as a company.
